The Municipal Council of Kisii is well known for rapid growth in agricultural and commercial activities. For that same reason, it has developed this website to enable the citizens, stakeholders, investors, council officials and councillors to totally participate in the activities and the developments of the council in identifying the plans, implementing and monitoring local services delivered and projects carried out within.

 Mr. William ChepkwonyKisii town is located in South-Western Kenya and is the main urban, commercial centre and the headquarter of Kisii Central District. Kisii Municipality covers an area of 29 sq. km out of which 9 sq. km falls within the Central Business District (CBD) - leasehold – while the rest consists of peri-urban settlements in freehold areas.
Kisii is growing tremendously in commercial and agricultural activity. It has a strategic Urban Development Plan (2009-2029) that guides its growth.
